White House threatens Clean Water Rule veto

The White House Office of Management and Budget said today that if the Senate passes a bill that would require the Environmental Protection Agency to withdraw the Clean Water Rule, also known as the Waters of the United States rule, President Barack Obama’s advisers would recommend a veto.
The vote is scheduled for about 2:30 p.m.
The House has already passed a companion measure.
