Some tips for more accurate search results:
- Search for full phrases by enclosing the words in quotes, such as “farm bill” or “food safety”
- Search engine will not look for two- or three-letter words. To search for organizations such as EPA, use the full name and enclose in quotes: “Environmental Protection Agency”
- Search for articles on two or more subjects or phrases by using AND. So search for: Obama AND "farm bill" This search would provide stories that must contain both "Obama" AND the phrase "farm bill."
- Search for articles that contain either word or phrase by using OR. So search for "food stamps" OR SNAP. This search would provide stories that contain either the phrase "food stamps" or the acronym SNAP.
- In search results list, find the date of the story by the file name in the link: 2012news_files/2012_0810_foodstamps.html indicated the story was published 8/10/2012.
