Senate Ag Approps schedules FDA food safety hearing

Senate Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman Jerry Moran, R-Kan., announced today that the subcommittee will hold a hearing Wednesday
to review the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s food safety programs.
The witnesses will be FDA Acting Commissioner Stephen Ostroff and FDA Deputy Commissioner for Foods and Veterinary Medicine Michael Taylor.
They will be accompanied by FDA Budget Director Bill Tootle.
The hearing will be held at 2 p.m. in Room 192 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
