Mark Bittman
Mark Bittman, food columnist for The New York Times for five years, announced this weekend in a farewell column that he would stop writing for the Times on a regular basis and that he is joining a food company in California.

Bittman also posted a list of his favorite columns.

Berkeleyside, a Berkeley, Calif., online publication, noted in June that Bittman was already living there.
