ANKENY, Iowa — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said here today she wishes that she had established two email accounts rather than one when she was secretary of State.
Asked at a news conference after her rural event whether the State Department had allowed her use of a personal email account, Clinton said, “My use of personal email was allowed by the State Department. It clearly wasn’t the best choice, I should have used two emails. One for personal and one for work.”
Clinton noted that she would testify before a congressional committee on the issue in October and said that she believes the process will prove that she did not send or receive classified emails through her personal account.
