The crop insurance program now covers almost every almost crop but also attracts more and more critics as well, Econ Focus, the economics magazine of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, says in an article written for a broad audience and released this week.

Econ Focus is published by the bank's research department to cover economic issues affecting the Fifth Federal Reserve District, which consists of the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and most of West Virginia, and the nation.
