Gordley hires trade and international ag aide

Gordley Associates has hired Hanna Abou-El-Seoud to focus on trade policy and international agricultural development issues for a range of clients, including the American Soybean Association, the U.S. Soybean Export and ASA’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH).

Abou-El-Seoud previously handled global food security, international food aid, conservation and forestry for Senate Agriculture Committee ranking member Debbie Stabenow of Michigan, D-Mich., who chaired the committee in the previous session of Congress.

Prior to her tenure with the Senate Agriculture Committee, Abou-El-Seoud worked in the office of Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., as well as in the Washington office of Trout Unlimited. A Michigan native, Abou-El-Seoud holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations with a focus in science, technology and environmental policy from Michigan State University.

Abou-El-Seoud succeeds Janae Brady, who left to join the staff of Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Pat Roberts, R-Kan.
