Report: Food exports to Cuba total $5 billion, but down year-to-year

U.S. sales of food products to Cuba have totaled $5 billion since the Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act of 2000 went into effect, but U.S. sales to Cuba in January 2015 were 30 percent lower than in January 2014, the U.S. Cuba Trade and Economic Council reported over the weekend.
Sales were $24.9 million in January 2015 compared with $34.5 million in January 2014.
