The Environmental Working Group today said that Bruce Rastetter, the organizer of Saturday’s Iowa Ag Summit for presidential candidates, has collected more than $300,000 in farm subsidies and benefited from the Renewable Fuel Standard.
Meanwhile, profiles of Rastetter have appeared in Politico and The Des Moines Register, and the Register also reported that the Republican candidates have been asking Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, for advice on agricultural issues.
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., has bowed out of the summit to attend a family wedding, leaving 11 Republican candidates committed to being interviewed by Rastetter at the all-day event.
