March 03, 2015 |05:07 PM

The vote was 257 in favor to 167 against, with 75 Republicans joining all Democrats in voting for the bill.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., noted in a news release that he voted against it.
“President Obama’s unilateral rewriting of our immigration laws poses a clear and present danger to the Constitution and must be stopped,” Goodlatte said. “The stakes are too high to surrender, and we must stand firm to defend the Constitution. Since the bill voted on today by the House of Representatives did not stop President Obama’s lawless actions, I voted against it.”
Senate Appropriations Committee ranking member Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., said, “Today, Congress did its job and sent the president a full year Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill. I’m glad the House finally took the Senate’s lead and passed the DHS funding agreement that was negotiated across the aisle and across the dome, last December.”
Mikulski noted that with this action Congress has funded all appropriations bill for federal agencies through September 30.
