Fish and Wildlife Service reinstates gray wolf protections

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Thursday officially reinstated Endangered Species Act protections for gray wolves in Wyoming and the western Great Lakes, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and surrounding states.
The Center for Biological Diversity praised the action, but noted that legislation has been introduced in the House “to strip federal protections from the species.”
