Rep. Alan Nunnelee dead at 56

Rep. Alan Nunnelee, R-Miss., a member of the House Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee, died today, The Clarion-Ledger of Jackson, Miss., reported.
Nunnelee, who was serving his third term, underwent brain surgery last June and had been in and out of hospitals and rehabilitation centers the past year, the newspaper said. He was 56 years old.
