House Ag to consider budget estimates letter as well as hold Vilsack, Massad hearings

The House Agriculture Committee will hold a business meeting next Thursday to consider the annual budget and estimates letter for the agencies and programs under its jurisdiction for fiscal 2016, as well as other organizational matters.
It will hold two hearings, one on Wednesday with Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and one Thursday with Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Timothy Massad.
The Vilsack hearing to review the state of the rural economy will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Room 1300 of the Longworth House Office Building.
The business meeting will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in 1300 Longworth and will be followed by the Massad hearing at 10 a.m. to review the 2015 agenda for the CFTC.
