After meeting with U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman Wednesday, House Agriculture Committee Chairman Rep. Michael Conaway, R-Texas, said he was “encouraged.”

“Although challenges remain, I was encouraged by our discussion today and believe Ambassador Froman is committed to working toward trade agreements that benefit all of U.S. agriculture,” Conaway said in a statement.
