Seattle study shows menu labeling increases awareness

A study of calorie labeling on menus in chain restaurants in Seattle showed that while it increases awareness of the calories in foods, awareness is heightened more among white, highly educated, wealthier people than other groups, the American Journal of Public Health reported this week.
