LA QUINTA, Calif. — The United Fresh Produce Association has updated its logo and website while establishing its national policy agenda for 2015, CEO Tom Stenzel told industry executives of member companies at its leadership forum here last week.
The association has also added a new floral membership category, and floral exhibits will be a big part of the trade show it shares with the Food Marketing Institute and the International Floral Expo in Chicago June 8 to 10.
Stenzel noted the addition of floral members in a presentation at a Tuesday dinner raising money for United Fresh’s foundation that supports salad bars in schools and other programs.
United Fresh’s legislative priorities are immigration reform, reauthorization of child nutrition programs and implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act, Stenzel said.
