On Wednesday, the morning after the State of the Union address, First Lady Michelle Obama will host local students in the East Room for a special reading of “Oh, The Things You Can Do That Are Good for You: All About Staying Healthy.”
The book, written and drawn in the style of Dr. Seuss as part of the Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library, was released in 2001 and updated with the help of the Partnership for a Healthier America.
“Using the powerful platform of Dr. Seuss, this book encourages kids everywhere to take care of their bodies through healthy eating and exercise,” the White House said in a media advisory.
The White House said the event is part of the first lady’s “Let’s Move!” initiative and “Let’s Read! Let’s Move!”
It is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m. EST and will be live-streamed on White House Live.
