Four Ag committee members vote against Boehner

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, won re-election to his leadership post with 216 votes Tuesday, but 25 House Republicans including four members of the House Agriculture Committee voted against him, according to analysis by the Ag Insider of the Food & Environment Reporting Network.

Ted Yoho, the only Florida Republican on the House Agriculture Committee, got two votes for House speaker, Ag Insider noted.

Yoho voted for himself and also got the support of Thomas Massie of Kentucky.

Three other Republicans on the committee opposed Boehner’s third term as speaker.

Steve King of Iowa voted for Daniel Webster of Florida for speaker, Scott DesJarlais of Tennessee voted for Jim Jordan of Ohio, and Chris Gibson of New York state voted for Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California, Ag Insider said.
