The National Chicken Council and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association on Monday released an economic impact study that showed the number of jobs in the chicken industry rose from 259,000 to 280,800 between 2012 and 2014.

The study also showed that wages rose from $49.1 billion to $74 billion in the same period and that and total economic activity rose from $205.6 billion to $348.8 billion.
