Johanns elected to Deere board

Former Sen. Mike Johanns, R-Neb., also a former U.S. secretary of agriculture and governor of Nebraska, has been elected to the board of Deere & Company, the farm equipment manufacturer has announced.
Deere & Company’s board now totals 12 members, 11 of whom are independent directors.
