CBPP: One million people to lose food stamp benefits

About 1 million unemployed childless adults will lose Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, also known as SNAP or food stamps, because unemployment rates are lower and waivers on the length of time they can get benefits will run out, the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities said in a report issued Monday.
