The Agriculture Department’s Economic Research Service has released three studies analyzing aspects of the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership.

The studies analyze agriculture in the proposed agreement, Japanese agriculture and Vietnam's agri-food sector.

While other studies have emphasized the problems in Japan’s agriculture sector, ERS says that, while there is market potential for increased U.S. exports to that country, Japan's agriculture has “intrinsic strengths.”
