Outgoing House Agriculture Committee Chairman Frank Lucas, R-Okla., is considering challenging House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, for the chairmanship of the Financial Services Committee, Politico reported Thursday.
The challenge could have implications for the reauthorization of the U.S. Export-Import Bank, which Hensarling opposes, and for oversight of the Dodd-Frank financial services reform act.
