U.S and European Union negotiators are finishing a week-long session of negotiations on the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership today, Washington Trade Daily reported.

“Good progress was made on agricultural issues and chief EU negotiator Ignacio Garcia Bercero remarked that the existing U.S.-EU veterinary agreement will likely be incorporated in the sanitary and phytosanitary chapter of the agreement,” WTD said.

In their opening press conference remarks, Berecero and U.S. negotiator Dan Mullaney stressed the importance of achieving what Mullaney called “regulatory coherence.”
