Farmer Veteran Coalition to hold conference

The Farmer Veteran Coalition will host a first-of-its-kind national gathering for organizations that serve military veterans pursuing food, farming and agricultural careers November 14 to 15 at the Drake University Agricultural Law Center in Des Moines.
The conference will be the first to convene local, state, and national service providers to facilitate networking, partnering and educational opportunities
The FVAC is encouraging “all stakeholders from the agricultural and veteran communities to attend: government agencies, trade associations, nonprofits, philanthropists, businesses, and university and extension personnel,” the Davis, Calif.-based coalition said in a news release.
The conference is supported by the Farm Credit Council, the American Farm Bureau Federation and the National Farmers Union, and is looking for additional support.
