House Agriculture Department Operations, Oversight and Nutrition Subcommittee Chairman Steve King, R-Iowa, today announced the witness list for his hearing Thursday on the role of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, better known as SNAP or food stamps in relation to other federal assistance programs.

The witnesses will be:

• Sidonie Squier, secretary, New Mexico Human Services Department, Santa Fe, N.M., on behalf of the Secretary's Innovation Group
• Robert Doar, Morgridge fellow in poverty studies, American Enterprise Institute
• Stacy Dean, vice president for food assistance policy, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
