Environmental Protection Agency Deputy Administrator Bob Perciasepe will leave his post next month to become president of the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions — C2ES.
Perciasepe will succeed Eileen Claussen, the center’s founding president, and begin his duties on August 11, C2ES said in a news release.
He has been the EPA deputy administrator since 2009 and serving as acting administrator after Lisa Jackson, President Barack Obama’s first appointee as administrator, left, and before Gina McCarthy, the current administrator, took over.
Launched in 2011, C2ES is an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization policy and action organization set up to address to address issues of energy and climate change. C2ES is the successor to the Pew Center on Global Climate Change.
