Stabenow to hold school meals hearing

Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., announced today she will hold a hearing Wednesday on the school meals programs.
The hearing, entitled “Meeting the Challenges of Feeding America’s School Children,” “will examine school meal programs across the country — from purchasing and procurement to planning and preparation — and where opportunities exist to continue strengthening these programs to better support America’s school children,” Stabenow said in a news release.
The hearing will be held at 9:30 a.m. in Room 328A of the Russell Senate Office Building.
The following witnesses will testify:

- Katie Wilson, executive director, National Food Service Management Institute, University of Mississippi
- Phil Muir, president and CEO, Muir Copper Canyon Farms, Salt Lake City, Utah
