The Senate will begin consideration of a “minibus” of three appropriations bills on Tuesday, including the fiscal year 2015 Agriculture appropriations bill, although the Ag bill is expected to come up third, a knowledgeable Senate aide has told The Hagstrom Report.
The other two bills are the fiscal year 2015 Commerce Justice State bill known as CSJ and the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development bill known as THUD.
The debate is expected to begin Tuesday after the Senate caucus lunches, with Senate Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., leading.
“We expect consideration to take at least this week, possibly more,” the aide said. “We are planning for an open amendment process and expect to receive amendments from both sides.”
