Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of State, former Democratic U.S. senator from New York, and likely 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, will give the keynote address at the Biotechnology Industry Organization International Convention on June 25 in San Diego.
Clinton’s speech to BIO will be the second paid speech she will give to a group with agricultural connections in June. On Tuesday she will speak to a joint session of the Food Marketing Institute and the United Produce Association in Chicago.
Clinton’s book about her time as secretary of State, “Hard Choices,” will be released the same day as the United Fresh speaking engagement.
BIO, which bills its convention as “the global event for biotechnology,” has scheduled sessions on biofuels and agricultural technologies during its San Diego meeting, which runs from June 23 to 27.
