Senate Ag to hold high-frequency futures trading hearing

The Senate Agriculture Committee will hold a hearing May 13 entitled High Frequency and Automated Trading in Futures Markets, to examine high-frequency trading and other forms of automated trading in the derivatives markets and what the Commodity Futures Trading Commission can do to help ensure market integrity.
Congress is in the midst of reauthorizing the CFTC.
The hearing will be held at 10 a.m. in Room 328-A of the Russell Senate Office Building.
