Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Stabenow, D-Mich., said this week that she would send the testimony delivered at a hearing on advanced biofuels on Tuesday to the Environmental Protection Agency for consideration as the EPA finalizes the volumetric requirements under the Renewable Fuel Standard.

Immediately after the hearing, Stabenow told the North American Agricultural Journalists that she would send the testimony to EPA and reiterated her strong support for the RFS.

Stabenow also said “food versus fuel needs to be debunked” that with the development of cellulostic ethanol she believes “that debate is going away.”
