Senate Ag Committee forwards Batta nomination

The Senate Agriculture Committee has approved President Barack Obama’s nomination of Todd Batta to be Agriculture assistant secretary for congressional relations.
Batta, a senior adviser to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, previously served as an aide to then-U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wis., and Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa.
