House Ag Approps to hold hearings Wednesday, Thursday

The House Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee will hold hearings on President Barack Obama’s budget requests for fiscal year 2015 for two divisions of the Agriculture Department this week
Both hearings will be held in Room 2362-A of the Rayburn House Office Building and will begin at 10 a.m.
On Wednesday, the subcommittee will hear from Agriculture Undersecretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs Ed Avalos. He will be accompanied by Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Administrator Kevin Shea, Agricultural Marketing Service Administrator Anne Alonzo, Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration Administrator Larry Mitchell and USDA Budget Officer Michael Young.
On Thursday the subcommittee will hear from Acting Undersecretary for Food Safety Brian Ronholm, who will be accompanied by Food Safety and Inspection Service Administrator Alfred Almanza and Young.
