In the strongest signal yet that the Agriculture Act of 2014 has been signed into law and the battles between sugar producers and users are over for the moment, Bill O’Conner and Jack Roney posed together Sunday after a tram ride to the beach in Dana Point, Calif.
O’Conner is a senior policy adviser at McLeod, Watkinson and Miller who advised the Sweetener Users Association, and Roney is the director of economics and policy analysis for the American Sugar Alliance.
The two are attending the International Sugar Colloquium, a meeting sponsored by the Sweetener Users, at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Hotel in Dana Point.
O’Conner and Roney will give an update on the sugar program during a panel discussion Tuesday.
