Fanjuls would be open to investing in Cuba

Florida sugar baron Alfonso Fanjul has traveled back to Cuba twice and would be interested in investing in his homeland “under the right circumstances,” The Washington Post reported today.

The article notes that the Fanjul family have become donors to the Brookings Institution. which organized the trips. The article also notes that Cuba is interested in revitalizing its sugar industry and is seeking foreign capital and technology to do that.
