House Agriculture Committee ranking member Collin Peterson, D-Minn., just told reporters that a dairy deal he believes he can accept is almost done and that rules on payment limits and “actively engaged” farmers are “being working on.”
Peterson said that he expects the farm bill to be on the House floor the week of January 27 and finished before the House goes out of session on January 29 for the Republican retreat.
Details to follow shortly.
