Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and Nancy Sutley, chairman of the Council on Environmental Quality, called for passage of a new farm bill last week.

In a jointly bylined blog post on the White House website, they noted the importance of the farm bill to conservation, particularly in the Mississippi River Basin and the Chesapeake Bay.
