World Resources Institute: To feed 9 billion, reduce waste and meat demand

Reducing food waste around the world is one of the keys to feeding a population of 9 billion people by 2050, but so is reducing “excessive demand for animal products” in developed countries, the World Resources Institute says in the interim findings of a report.
The report is being released at the Global Conference on Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Security and Climate Change this week in Johannesburg, South Africa.
