The Global Harvest Initiative, an organization of companies that promote agricultural productivity, said in its annual report today that East Asia and sub-Saharan Africa continue to need to import food and that Brazil and other Latin American countries are likely to be the suppliers.

GHI, whose members include DuPont, Elanco, IBM, John Deere and Monsanto, released its annual GAP Report on the sidelines of the World Food Prize ceremonies in Des Moines.
