Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., announced today that the committee will hold a hearing on October 3 entitled “Advanced Biofuels: Creating Jobs and Lower Prices at the Pump.”

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will be the lead witness followed by the following panel of industry officials:

• Mike Lynch, managing director of Green Innovation for NASCAR, Daytona Beach, Fla.
• Brooke Coleman, executive director, Advanced Ethanol Coalition, Washington, D.C.
• Jim Collins, senior vice president, DuPont Polymers and Industrial Biosciences, Washington, D.C.
• Tim Zenk, Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Sapphire Energy, San Diego, Calif.
• Sumesh Arora, vice president, Innovate Mississippi; director of Strategic Biomass Solutions, Ridgeland, Miss.
