The difficulties Oklahoma anti-hunger advocates have had in opposing cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, better known as SNAP or food stamps, help explain why all but 15 House Republicans felt comfortable voting last week for a bill that would cut the program by $39 billion over 10 years, Jerry Hagstrom writes in his column in National Journal Daily published today.
