The National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition has named Jeremy Emmi as its managing director.

Emmi joins NSAC after spending two and half years coordinating operations of RE-AMP, an eight-state network of nearly 160 foundations and nonprofits engaged in efforts promoting energy efficiency, clean energy, climate action, and efficient transportation options in the Midwest. Among other leadership responsibilities, he was in charge of developing and fundraising for RE-AMP’s annual budget of $3.5 million.

Before his work at RE-AMP, Emmi served as the executive director of the Michigan Nature Association, a state land preservation and conservation organization. He also served on many conservation organization boards and advisory committees during his time in Michigan.

Emmi received a bachelor of science degree in botany and plant pathology from Michigan State University and received a law degree with a certificate in environmental and natural resources law from the Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Ore.
