Lisa Hightower

The United Fresh Produce Association has hired Lisa Hightower as its communications manager.

Hightower has worked on several media campaigns promoting the consumption of fruits and vegetables among at-risk teens, preparing farm operations for hurricanes and tornadoes, and retirement planning for farmers. She has worked with organizations such as Virginia Cooperative Extension, Florida Cooperative Extension, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Hightower holds an undergraduate degree in journalism and a master’s degree in agricultural communication from the University of Florida and a doctoral degree from Virginia Tech in agricultural education.
