Farmers, union must work for pass overall immigration bill

The Agriculture Workforce Coalition and the United Farm Workers have reached a substantial accomplishment in their agreement that led to the farmworker provision introduced in the Senate immigration reform bill, but their success depends on whether they can join with other groups to convince Congress to pass the overall bill, Jerry Hagstrom wrote in a column published in National Journal Daily on Thursday.
