Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., and Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., today introduced the Genetically Engineered Food Right-to-Know Act, according to a news release from the Center for Food Safety, which favors labeling.

A labeling initiative failed in California last year, but labeling legislation is being required in other states. The bill would require the labeling of all genetically engineered foods at the federal level.
