Sen. Levin announces he won’t run next year

Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., announced today that he will not run for re-election in 2014.
Levin, 78, chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, which investigated the U.N. Oil for Food program that showed the Iraqi government of Saddam Hussein was involved in illegal kickbacks.
