As part of a larger reorganization, the American Seed Trade Association has promoted Bernice Slutsky to the new position of senior vice president for domestic and international policy.
Slutsky joined ASTA in 2006 to work on issues involving emerging technologies, intellectual property rights, and international regulation and trade.
Reporting to Slutsky will be Vice President for Government Affairs Jane DeMarchi, who recently joined ASTA from the National Wheat Growers Association; Ric Dunkel, the senior director of seed health and trade; Pat Miller, director of state government affairs; Lisa Nichols, the director of science and international affairs, and Kelly Crist, manager of science and international affairs.
The restructuring was announced by ASTA president and CEO, Andrew LaVigne.
