DTN: Ryan cooperated with Kind, EWG on farm policy

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, R-Wis., was an ally of Rep. Ron Kind, D-Wis., and others in their attempts to change farm policy in 2007 and 2008, according to an analysis of material on Ryan’s congressional Web site by DTN.
The congressional group — which included Reps. Ron Kind, D-Wis., Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore., and Jeff Flake, R-Ariz. — also worked with the Environmental Working Group on the effort, DTN said.
This history could have implications for passage of a farm bill this year.
