AGree publishes farm bill paper

AGree, an organization funded by major foundations to look at long-term U.S. agricultural policy, has published a paper on the farm programs with suggestions for the creation of a new safety net.
The paper calls on Congress to examine a broader range of impacts beyond net farm income, crop prices and acreage.
The paper was written by Stephanie Mercier, the former chief economist for the Senate Agriculture Committee.
